Kevin Soccer Pics

Kevin has had a fun year of soccer.  He has a great coach and teammates.  Here they are out in the rain practicing hard and having a ball.

The club had a SoccerThon to raise money to build their own fields.  To cap things off they had a day of fun and uncoached scrimmages. 

Kevin is a good communicator on the field.  I love how he is telling his teammates that this guy is left undefended.

One of Kevin's teammates had a Christmas party, complete with a white elephant gift exchange.  There is no way this can go well for kids.   Before the party, I threatened the kids that this was fun.  The gifts would be cheap crap, so they better not get upset if someone takes their stuff.  Caroline got what she wanted (something that I bought). Kevin did not, but he was sure to not show he was upset.  Luckily they moved on without incident.  That didn't hold true for other kids.  Sad thing was that it was the older siblings, not the 8 year olds, that were the ones crying, complaining and just plain out throwing a temper tantrum.  Good stuff.

Kevin had a preseason soccer tournament near Orlando in January.  It was crazy cold and windy.  Apparently this wind gust was so strong, it blew the kids down.

In between the first and second games on Saturday, we had to go to Target and buy more clothes and a blanket.  Caroline was bundled up and still found a good spot in front of a space heater.

Kevin's manager bought the kids hats, gloves, and leggings.  There was no fight, like there usually is, to wear these things.  It was a cold one.

Back at the hotel, Caroline got some exercise on the treadmill.

Before the final game, the siblings got together and were bumping the volleyball around.  Caroline is not so good with her hands, so she participated by heading the ball.  Not too bad Little Stuff.

After a hard loss in the finals (to a very good team), the coach congratulated the boys on a well fought tournament.
