Disney Weekend

This past weekend we met up with Kim, Max and their one year old son Zander in Orlando. It was good to see them all. Our first time meeting Zander. He is such a cutie. At our hotel we had a park which the kids loved to play on. Here is Caroline hanging upside down like a monkey!

Kevin loved to go down the really high curly slide, but the only way for him to make it up, was to climb up the slide like the big kids do. I couldn't believe he could make it all the way up. It was a pretty high slide to climb up. But he did it over and over again. Up the straight slide, down the curly one, over and over and over...

Caroline also surprised all of us, as well as passersby on her ability to cross the monkey bars. Check out the video!

The boys also loved to play in the mulch and Kevin liked to pick the flowers and destroy them - ripping them to shreds.

Our hotel had a character breakfast. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto were there. When we came in Mickey was within sight. Both Caroline and Kevin were so excited. Kevin couldn't take his eyes off of him. Mickey came up behind us and I could see the smile on Caroline's face across from me. Mickey posed with Caroline then came back to take a picture with Kevin. Kevin started screaming. Aaahh!!! He was terrified. Mickey left, and Kevin got excited again to watch him from afar.

Then we all turned to look at Minnie. Again Kevin got excited, then terrified when she was close, then excited to see her from afar. Repeat with Pluto. Zander was also not a big fan of the characters. Maybe it is a baby thing! Caroline still loved it.

Later we went to Magic Kingdom. It was nice. There weren't too many people there, so we were able to get on the rides relatively quickly. My kind of Disney day. The kids all did great. The boys even took a little nap while Caroline got her face painted and we girls all rode on the Goofy roller coaster. Very fun.

It was nice to get to see old friends again. Next time we'll have to make it up to Chicago to visit them.

Stay tuned for Halloween fun later this week!
