Thanksgiving

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit this year for Thanksgiving.  We started things off with a trip to the Budweiser plant to see the Clydesdales.  We drove up to North Jacksonville in Grandma and Grandpa's car.  After pulling into the parking lot, we found a good spot to see the horses on parade.  We happened to be facing the back of the car.  The funny thing is that there was a Washington County, Tennessee car parked right next to their Washington County, Tennessee car.  Not so funny - and kind of embarrassing - Grandma took a crapload of pictures of the cars side by side. Maybe even more pictures of the cars than the horses. I never did hear what the final tally was.  Aaahhh Grandma!  We love you!

It was time for the horses to come through on parade.  They really are majestic looking.

The parade was complete with the dalmatian.

After the parade, the horses stood for us to come get close and get a picture.

After checking out the horses, we went inside for a tour of the plant.  We even got a sample of some nice cold Bud.

The kids did not partake in the beer sampling, much to Kevin's chagrin.

Thanksgiving night, we went for a trolley ride in St. Augustine to see the lights. 

All of the lights, decorating the trees and buildings were beautiful.

After the trolley ride, we stopped and had cookies and hot apple cider.

But cookies were not enough to satisfy these two.  We walked around St. Augustine and got ice cream and hot chocolate.

Over the weekend, we took advantage of a nice day and headed to the beach.  Caroline brought her soccer ball and showed us her juggling moves.

This picture appears to show the kids passing the soccer ball back and forth to each other nicely.  In reality, they are trying to splash each other with the spray.  Funny thing was that the kicker got more wet than the kickee. 

After the ball play was complete, we went for a nice walk down the beach.

Even though it was not the warmest of days, the kids found their way into the water.
