Water Fun!

We took a trip to the beach last week with the Passalacqua family.  Here are the boys playing in the sand.
Caroline made her own creation by herself
The boys dug a huge hole.  Kevin's head went deep inside of this thing.  His feet came off the ground.
We went for a walk and Caroline found a beautiful shell.
Kevin thought it was cooler to find shells covered with holes.

What a great day at the beach!
Saturday the kids went to a birthday party for Kevin's friend Micah.  They had an awesome waterslide that Caroline and Kevin had mostly to themselves.

Kevin started getting crazy going down the waterslide.
Monday, we went to the beach with Aunt Leslie, Michael, and Katelyn.  The boys had fun punching and kicking the waves.
Seems like the waves kept winning though.  The boys had a blast.
Caroline had fun jumping over and through the waves.
Today, Caroline had her friend Reese over to play.  Caroline and Kevin wanted to show their acrobatics to Reese.  She was not so sure this was appropriate behavior, so opted out of participating.  I guess her parents teach her the right way to treat the furniture and the house.
After the initial "Hello's," they made homemade lava lamps with water, vegetable oil, food coloring, and Alka-Seltzer.
Next they made homemade peppermint chocolate chip ice cream.
It was delicious, but a little soupy.  They were too excited to keep kneading the bags, so they quit and ate it a bit too early.  It was still yummy!
Next up - watergun fight!

Kevin got them good!

Summer is so much fun!  Why does it have to end so soon?
