Kevin's Christmas Program and Such

The Kindergarten at the kids' school put on a Holiday program tonight.  Most of the songs were Christmas, but they also did a Kwanzaa song and a couple Hanukkah songs.  Kevin was not happy so say the least about wearing his "fancy" clothes and shoes.  There was a lot of shouting, crying, and pouting.  Apparently Kevin did not remember the words to the song that he was about to sing, because as we know Santa Claus is coming to town very soon.  He did look cute though!  I dropped him off with the rest of the kindergarteners all tucked in and looking nice.  When he came out on stage, his shirt was untucked and his pants kept falling down.  But he had a big smile on his face and looked so happy.

All of the kids looked so cute in their Christmas attire.  Kevin's class wore reindeer antlers.

Each class had a specific song that they also did hand motions to.  Kevin's class did Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. 

He sang his heart out to all of the songs.  I couldn't believe how many songs the kids learned.  Let It Snow, Rudolph, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Kwanzaa, We are Santa's Elves, The 12 Days of Christmas, Hanukkah is Here, Must Be Santa, Jingle Bells, My Dreydl, Silent Night, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Oh my goodness, they were so cute!

Kevin has also been writing books.  Some with words.  Some without.  The other day, he came in with a book of illustrations from his favorite TV cartoon, Lego Ninjago.  These pictures are all created from his imagination.  I am so impressed with this book.  He has such a great imagination.  This book is called the Battle of the Great Devourer (spelled differently by Kevin).  Below are a couple pages from his book.  The first is his Title Page.  Top Right is Kai (red ninja) and Jay (blue ninja) and his favorite snake Spitta.  Bottom Left is Kai and Jay sitting by a fire in the forest.  Sensei Wu and Cole (black ninja) are there too.  Bottom Right is a den of snakes - Pythor, Spitta, Lizaru, and a couple others.
