Back in mid-April, Kevin finally got his tricycle going forward. We are still working on it, but it is getting better.

He loves to climb in the tree in the front yard and weave his way through our bushes that house various large snakes. Kevin is also our resident slug remover. Caroline came in shrieking that she couldn't go out on the patio because there was a dead worm somewhere in the 600 sq ft area. In reality, there were a couple of dead slugs. Kevin to the rescue. He came out, picked them up with his fingers, and took 3 of them to the grass. Tom found one more and removed it with his golf club. Kevin was pissed Daddy wouldn't let him do it. Aah, my little boy.

Kevin had a play date at Michael's house. They converted their "boring old" slide into a water slide. Oooh fun...but no, Kevin's bathing suit is now damp. Kevin starts tiptoeing around like he has a poopy diaper, whining, "I wet. I wet." Kevin who loves bugs, lizards, worms, etc. HATES water. This summer is going to be fun!
He was happy to help Michael fill the bucket, as long as he could stay dry. The boys are playing so well together. Unfortunately they are leaving for D.C. next week. Kevin is losing his friend. So sad. I'm losing my friend and sanity saviour too.
Kevin and I made a safari later that day and took the little people for a ride around. We've got the grass eating animals in one area, elephants in another, big cats in another, alligators in one, water animals in another, and North American animals in another. Very nice Kevin.

Caroline had an early release day and we headed to the park with her friends. As we were heading out to gymnastics we stopped to sit in her favorite tree. What pretty picture!

The kids begged for ice cream sandwiches. Please notice the difference in kids. Caroline all nice and clean, making sure she gets it all off her fingers...and Kevin covered in ice cream, making sure he gets every last lick from his bowl.

Caroline had an Art show/recital/ice cream social at her school a couple weeks ago. The kids put on a wonderful performance. Very cute.
Then the 4 musketeers (Mia,Caroline, Grace, Kamryn) showed off their art work. Caroline was one of a very few who had 2 pieces of art displayed. She has got some nice artistic talent.

After ice cream we headed back to the park to play tennis. Or at least Daddy and Caroline played a little tennis, while Kevin tackled his ball and I pretended to be a Wimbledon ball girl...just not quite so stealthy.

We were so hot after our bike ride/time at the park, so I set up the sprinkler for the kids...well for Caroline. Kevin wanted no part.
