Let the Summer Begin!

So today was the first day of summer vacation. We are starting it off busy. First thing this morning, Caroline and her friend Mia started horseback riding lessons. They started off by brushing down their horse, Lollipop. After the lesson, Caroline commented on how little their horse was. She cracks me up.
Then their teacher, Jane, led them around the corral several times to get them comfortable. Caroline went first. Then they did some exercises on the horse, like touching their toes and standing up while moving to get their sense of balance.

Caroline's favorite part was when the trainer led her around to trot. Caroline loved to go fast.

Unfortunately, then it was Mia's turn to go. Immediately Caroline got sullen looking and wanted to get back on the horse. Yes, Caroline we have to take turns. After a few tears, she calmed down and we made an appointment to come again next week.

After horseback riding we took a short rest, and then headed to swim lessons. Later today we've got soccer practice. What a busy day - and this is just day one of summer vacation!
