Kevin went to a birthday party at a place called My Gym. They have lots of fun exercise things to play with. Kevin especially loved the trampoline. Here he is jumping with his good friends Colyn (the birthday boy) and Seanie. Only about 30 minor and 3 major collisions. No tears from Kevin though. Kevin is the one in the yellow shirt who falls down about a zillion times!
Caroline had yet another long weekend from school, so we headed back to the ice rink with her friends. She had a ball yet again and wants to go to Ice Skating camp this summer.
One of her friends takes ice skating lessons and taught her how to do a twirl. Very impressive Caroline! Yesterday Caroline had her first soccer game of the season. She scored 3+ goals. The plus is because she kicked one toward the goal and in an effort to get the ball out of the goal the other team kicked it in for her. She and her teammate Peyton also made an amazing save. Caroline got the ball out of their own goal just as the ball was about to cross into the goal! Awesome play girls!!!
When we came home, I suggested that we go out and try to ride her 2 wheel bike. She has been very nervous in the past and we haven't even tried to ride again for a few months. Between gaining her balance on her scooter that she got for her birthday and the balance and confidence gained from ice skating Caroline decided to give it another shot. We went from "Mommy, don't let go!" to "Mommy, let go. Stop touching me. Get your hand off." in just a matter of minutes. She's got it. Now she wants to ride her bike all the time. This morning we rode her bike to the park (a little over a mile each way). Unfortunately her bike is way to small for her. We'll give her a month or so to master it and then get her a way cool big girl bike.
